Surprising News !!
Dear Valued Customers,
As respected consumers, people who don't want to get an adverse decision in relation to your visa application due to the immigration's capricious mind or immigration agents or lawyers' laziness. Please urge your registered migration agents that uploading the supporting documents ASAP after putting visa application via online.
The Migration Institute Australia has been made aware of a case where an SBS application was refused because supporting documents had not been uploaded. The application was lodged at almost 4pm on a Friday and refused just after midday the following Monday. Given that the published service standards are currently around 8 weeks, the expectation exists that RMAs have some time to add supporting documents before the application is allocated.
The MIA took this up with the Director, Program Delivery, Temporary Entry. The Director indicated that new staff are being trained in the 457 centres, beginning with SBS application processing and will move to nomination and then visa applications in time. He also reported that the issue of incomplete applications adds an unnecessary costs to processing and in recent months 457 processing centres have been advised to consider deciding applications based on what is provided at time of lodgement.
The Department did acknowledge that MIA members should be informed if the 457 associated processing times were significantly reduced. At the same time if an application is incomplete at lodgement, RMAs are encouraged to explain the circumstances that have necessitated the lodgement of an incomplete application and when they intend lodging the missing supporting material. This will assist in deciding the processing approach taken to the case.
While this current incident may be a result of over-zealous processing by a new employee, MIA members are advised to check all lodged 457 SBS and associated applications have the correct supporting evidence uploaded.
As always, lodging complete applications will reduce processing delays.
