Government considers forcing regional migrants to stay rural - Fact check required before publishing the article on nationally recognized media.
We believe that this article was driven by political motives. Please read this article, which may imply the migrant are dodgy and cunning.
According to section 137Q of Migration Act 1958 -Cancellation of regional sponsored employment visas, the minister (Home affairs minister/ immigration minister) has a power to cancel migrant's permanent visa if the migrant obtained their visa through SC 187 (Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme) and did not commence their work for the sponsoring company within 6 months or the employment terminated within the period of 2 years starting on the day the person commenced that employment.
We also see many class RN (Regional Nomination Visa - SC 187) visa cancellations and they appealed AAT in order to revoke the minister's visa cancellation decision.
So, we are able to declare that the article published on SBS contained wrong information and Multiculturalism minister Alan Tudge did't do fact check even if he is a public servant and a very influential figure.
Please read Section 137Q
